As the founder of Cape Solar PV Consultants, John Wise envisioned creating a collaborative network of PV experts dedicated to advancing South Africa’s solar industry. His mission is to promote the growth of the photovoltaic sector while driving skills development among solar installers and technicians.

Beyond his leadership role, John is actively involved in electrical AC and DC design, contract management, and ensuring that best practices are implemented across every Cape Solar project. He places strong emphasis on training and upskilling subcontractors and employees, ensuring that all installations meet the highest technical and safety standards.

John brings extensive experience across all facets of residential and commercial PV installations, including regulatory compliance, inverter approvals, PV generation modeling with PV Planner, detailed engineering drawings, thermal imaging, and plant maintenance. His hands-on approach and commitment to excellence continue to shape Cape Solar’s reputation for quality, reliability, and sustainability.
